At Pelasgos Homes we are making the foundations for our steel frame houses following these procedure:
House foundations:
- A layer of 10cm crasher run is installed. Applying a layer of crusher run on top of the soil will help the concrete remain in place and last much longer and it also ensures waterproofing of the foundations.
- Polyethylene (250gr/ m2) is installed underneath the concrete to provide waterproofing of the foundation.
- Reinforcement of the concrete foundation on 2 levels (Y12/15cm) extra reinforcement of the areas where the columns are installed(Y16).
- Concrete foundation of 40 cm with C25 quality.
Foundations of the verandas:
- A layer of 10 cm crasher run is installed. Applying a layer of crusher run on top the soil will help the concrete to remain in place and last much longer, as it ensures waterproofing of the foundations.
- Polyethylene 250 gr/ m2 is installed underneath the concrete to provide waterproofing of the foundation.
- Reinforcement of the concrete foundation on 1 level Y8/20 cm and extra reinforcement of the areas where columns are installed
- Concrete 15 cm with quality C30
House floorings:
- A 10 cm layer of Screed with quality C25 is installed on each floor to cover electricity and plumbing pipes.
- 5cm mortar 3:1 is installed on each level to ensure a smooth surface for the installation of tiles or parquet.
Foundation Insulation
- Terraces, verandas and perimeters where cement panels are connected to the foundation are isolated with Weber Dry SS – elastomeric cement based waterproof coating which is ideal for structures which may be subject to movement. 3 layers are applied with a reinforcing mesh to ensure crack- bridging properties improvement.
- The side of the foundations is isolated with 3 layers of bituminous protective coating INSULATION COATING ( Domoproof).
